The Mayor of the City of Guédiawaye Mr. Aliou Sall as well as the mayors of the different municipalities of the locality enthusiastically welcome the program Smart Sénégal. A delegation led by the Director General of ADIE Mr. Cheikh Bakhoum was this Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in Guédiawaye for a presentation of the program Smart Sénégal, followed by a visit to the various achievements in the department.

The Prefect, Mr. Chérif Blondin Ndiaye, who first welcomed Mr. Cheikh Bakhoum to his office, was able to discuss with the latter the actions of ADIE in his department. Subsequently, the two authorities went to the City Hall for a meeting with the various territorial authorities.  
In his welcome speech, the Mayor of the City Aliou SALL returned to the impact that will have Smart Sénégal for the Guédiawaye department, including security, connectivity and access to a local public service through the Senegal Services area. Mr. Aliou Sall also welcomed the collaboration between ADIE and the City of Guédiawaye which dates back several years.

During his presentation, the Director General of ADIE Mr. Cheikh Bakhoum took stock of the achievements in Guédiawaye. To date, 46 surveillance cameras have been deployed as part of strengthening the city's security, 04 poles for a high-speed connection have been installed at Allée Serigne Saliou located in Sam Notaire, Senegal space Services under construction in Wakhinane Nimzatt are at 93% execution rate. The Director of ADIE announced the strengthening of Konectel points in the public places of Guédiawaye after the implementation of the BRT project. The work in progress does not allow ADIE to deploy connectivity hubs in certain areas. The same goes for surveillance cameras which have yet to be installed.

Following the Director General of ADIE, the Prefect of Guédiawaye, Mr. Chérif Blondin NDIAYE praised the various achievements in the department he administers and expressed his satisfaction.

In addition, as part of the Senegal Services project and as part of the services deployed by ADIE, the Director General of ADIE Mr. Cheikh Bakhoum signed agreements with the Town Hall of Guédiawaye represented by Mayor Aliou Sall, the Golf Sud Town Hall represented by Mayor Aissatou Sow Diawara, the Town Hall of Wakhinane Nimzatt represented by Abdoulaye Fall, Chief of Staff of Mayor Racine Talla and the Town Hall of Ndiarème Limamoulaye represented by Mr. Abdoulaye Ba, Technical Advisor to Mayor Baidy Sèye. Signing of agreements is also planned with the Town Halls of Sam Notaire and Gounass.
